French intelligence are now bracing for Putin to use internet based information warfare tools, such as bot to interfere in France up-coming election, to back Trump’s ally, the far right anti EU and pro Putin, Le pen, reports Foreign Policy (source).
Meanwhile German news unit, DW reports (source) Germany’s secret services have found little evidence that the Kremlin is directly trying to manipulate the country’s public opinion. But the leaked government report suggests that indirect methods may be at work.
Putin has successfully interfered in the 2016 American election, helping Trump in discrediting Hillary. Most neutral analysts said that Putin activity, in combination with other such as FBI politicize activity against Hillary, with GOP massive gerrymandering and voter suppression, is why Trump won the electorate, that still saw Hillary won about 3 million more popular vote than Trump.
While Putin is clearly targeting France and Germany, Putin’s goals is to win France & Germany, to break up EU and destroy NATO. Trump has made statement hostile and critical to both EU and NATO, but after being greatly criticized, moderate his statements.
However, Trump and Putin are close, with latest, in an interview, Trump defended Putin’s well known use of political intimidation of opponents and the media, including the use of assassination. Trump also said America does the same things as Putin, meaning kilings.
While Trump makes statements, the real intention of Trump can be seen from Trump’s chief strategist, confirmed as a Nazi, Bannon expanding his Alt-right (AP says Alt-right means Racist, Nazi & White Supremacist) news unit Breitbart into Western Europe, including France, where in France, some news report says Le Pen niece is heading up Breitbart. Le Pen earlier, visited New York and held a meeting at Trump Tower.
