Syria: Can There Ever be Peace Without Justice, with Blatant Crime Against Humanity

Most people dream of peace, a rightfully want end to violent conflict such as war. But how do we achieve peace & make peace last? And is peace also about “Justice?” The latest is that Amnesty International have said that Russia’s war in Syria, with many instances of civilians being killed, could be considered war carimes. And Saddam, with so many massacres of the Syrian people, continues the massacre.

Looking at the “Roots” of violence, for “Lesons”

Lets look at Syria

The violent terror attack on Paris, Reuters report, has heightened the interest in he Syrian peace process, as the conflict is destabilizing the region, sening out massive level of refugeee, where the extreme right is blaming the refugess for the Paris attack.

But Syria is governed by a mass murderer, Assad & what of the mass murderer Assad?

Assad, of course, was protected at UNSC years back, by Russia & China, in the attempt to bring Assad to justice. And France has now startyed to investigate Assad for Crime Against Humanity. And Russia is now proping up the Assad regime.

Assad regime accused of string of

Syria massacres in UN report (source)

The Assad regime has been accused by the United Nations of perpetrating the worst massacre of the Syrian civil war before August’s chemical weapons attack – the slaughter of hundreds of civilian men, women and children in and around the town of Baniyas in May.
Bashar Al-Assad’s regime have been accused of the slaughter of hundreds of civilian men, women and children in and around the town of Baniyas in May.

In a new, detailed summary of human rights abuses in the war in just the three months from April to June this year, a UN commission of inquiry into Syria states that it has “confirmed to its evidentiary standards” that the regime was responsible for the Baniyas slaughter and six other large-scale massacres – with rebels responsible for one.
According to local estimates cited by its new report, between 300 and 450 people were killed when the Syrian army and locally recruited militias stormed into two districts of Baniyas, near the north-west coast, on May 2 and 3.

Photographs posted online but considered by most media too gruesome to publish showed the corpses of scores of women and children, some still bleeding from fresh wounds.

“Testimonies of those who witnessed the aftermath described bodies lying in the streets for days before the inhabitants could safely return to collect them,” the report says of the scene in the second district. “Some of the bodies appeared to have been hit with heavy or sharp objects, especially in the face and head area.”

The report makes gruesome reading. It will confirm both the fears of those who believe military intervention by America and its allies will embroil them in a bloodbath from which escape would be difficult, and the determination of those who believe that some way must be found of putting a stop to the conflict.

From the Wikipedia:

Estimates of deaths in the Syrian Civil War, per opposition activist groups, vary between 143,150[1] and 340,125.[2] On 15 January 2015, the United Nations put out an estimate of 220,000 that had died in the war.[3]
UNICEF reported that over 500 children had been killed by early February 2012.[4][5] Another 400 children were reportedly arrested and tortured in Syrian prisons.[6][7] Both claims have been contested by the Syrian government.[8] Additionally, over 600 detainees and political prisoners died under torture.[9] The United Nations stated that by the end of April 2014, 8,803 children had been killed,[10] while the Oxford Research Group said that a total of 11,420 children died in the conflict by late November 2013.[11] By mid-October 2015, the opposition activist group Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) reported the number of children killed in the conflict had risen to 12,517, while at the same time 8,062 women were also killed.[2]

Peace? & Justice?

The Roots of Violence:

I saw on twitter, after Paris attack, some people are saying, there serious problems with Islam belief, in some quarters

If u believes that, it is only fair, to say, there is also serious problem in Buddhism & Christian thinking, in some quarters

i.e. look at what quarters of, Buddhism doing to Rohingya people & quarters of Christian doing to blacks & other in America

Many have said for a long time, quarters of Religion, such as those responsible, for Paris, Myanmar & America, have little clue

what their Religion is about, i.e. Koran says, if u kill an innocent person, it like u kill all of humanity & Buddhism, forbid killing

But if one say, killing is about Religion, than fair also, to ask, about non-religious massacres, i.e. by atheist

i.e. massacre of slave labor & refugees in Southeast Asia, the massacres related to gun access issue in America

Then here, if one sums up, my (1) to (7) twitter post, this points to the questions & problems about “Humanity” & “Violence”

On this problems & questions, about “Humanity” & “Violence” I think this is about “Chicken & Egg” question, for example

Look at Gandhi & Dalai Lama non-violent struggle & look at the American Revolution & Che’s Cuba struggle, & other

Where does those struggles, both peaceful & violent, come from & are, all their methods, acceptable?

& look at state sanctioned violence, i.e. Saudi Arabia & Iran, massive use, of executions, and other, such as China’s

so how do we start addressing the question “Humanity & Violence” & “Chicken & Egg” question?

There are many theories, but to me, I think the problem, root of problem in failure to “Set Right Example” on, accountability & justice

just look at how many, those who committed & committing, atrocities & massacres, continues, business as usual

i.e. as globe fight terrorism, i.e look at the mass murderer Assad, gets support at UNSC from Russia & China & now supported by Russia

just look around the planet, does one think, the mass murderer Assad, is the only one, walking free, facing no accountability &

out of reach of justice? i.e. I am in Kingdom of Thailand, where the military & fascist, have conducted, many massacres

in the past 80 years & there have never been accountability & justice, & so massacres, keep occurring, over & over, again & again

Questions & problems “Humanity & Violence” & “Chicken & Egg of Violence” very difficult to solve, one starting point

is for humanity, to begin, addressing the “Root” meaning, lack of accountability & justice, on all sorts of issues, globally
